Two women have been arrested in connection with a drug seizure in Dublin yesterday.

Two women have been arrested in connection with a drug seizure in Dublin yesterday.

The drugs were found when gardai from the Organised Crime Unit investigating a north Dublin criminal gang, stopped and searched a car at around 8.30pm yesterday.

During the course of the search and a follow up search at a house in Clonshaugh a quantiy of cannabis resin with a street value of €150,000 and a large amount of cash were discovered.

Two females - one in her early 60s and one aged 40 - were arrested and are being held at Blanchardstown Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
