Adair to make new freedom bid

Jailed loyalist terror boss Johnny Adair is to make a fresh bid for freedom.

Jailed loyalist terror boss Johnny Adair is to make a fresh bid for freedom.

His lawyers are appealing against the dismissal of his application for a judicial review into the Northern Secretary's decision to have him re-arrested earlier this year.

Paul Murphy ordered Adair to be jailed after deciding he had been involved in directing terrorism, drug dealing, extortion, money laundering and the procurement and distribution of firearms.

The grounds of the appeal will focus on whether or not revoking Adair's licence without him having been questioned or interviewed was in breach of his human rights.
