Staff in Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports are threatening to stage a 24 hour strike next Thursday over staffing issues.

Both the Taoiseach and the Minister for Transport have appealed to both sides today to use next Monday's Labour Court intervention to avert the stoppage.

Speaking in Limerick today Chief Executive of Tourism Ireland Paul O'Toole said the dispute must be resolved before the busy summer period.
