Seven motorists were arrested for driving under the influence offences last night in Dublin city centre.
The arrests were made at Mandatory Intoxicant Testing checkpoints, which are being conducted by Roads Policing Units from the Dublin Region.
Gardaí say at one checkpoint, there were three positive tests for cocaine.
The checkpoints are part of bank holiday weekend high visibility policing operations in Dublin city centre.
