Footage has emerged of the dramatic helicopter crash at a pub in Co Longford last night.
Thankfully, the pilot and passenger survived the crash that happened as they were trying to land at the back of the Rustic Inn pub and restaurant in Abbeyshrule.
It has been reported that some people inside the pub were treated by paramedics, but no one sustained serious injuries.
The blade of the helicopter is said to have penetrated a timber frame accommodation section that had been recently built.
Two members of the Air Accident Investigation Unit Go-Team attended the scene, and inspectors are gathering evidence.
A statement from the Department of Transport said the helicopter is a Gazelle Helicopter, registration G-BXTH.
They said: "The AAIU investigation team is conducting further on-site operations which will involve undertaking recording of the accident site and initial information gathering activities into the circumstances surrounding yesterday's occurrence."
