Queen visit 'to cost taxpayer €8m'
It has been reported that the security bill for Queen Elizabeth's visit to Ireland next year could cost the taxpayer more than €8m.
Gardaí will have to erect a ring of steel in anticipation of threats from dissident republicans and Islamic extremists.
Security Experts estimate that the cost of the visit to the taxpayer would have the same costs attached as any of those by US Presidents.
