A brother and sister have appeared in court charged with the murder of 63-year-old Thomas Horan at his home in Irishtown in Dublin.

A brother and sister have appeared in court charged with the murder of 63-year-old Thomas Horan at his home in Irishtown in Dublin.

Today 27-year-old Ken Cummins and his sister, 36-year-old Sabrina Cummins, appeared in court charged with his murder, following their arrest on Wednesday.

Ken and Sabrina, of Ringsend Park, have been remanded in custody until next Thursday.

Thomas Horan was found dead at his sheltered accommodation flat in Irishtown in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Neither gave a reply to the charge after caution.

Judge Michael Walsh has remanded them in custody to appear in court again next Thursday .

Following requests from their solicitors he has directed that the two accused receive medical attention while they are held in prison.
