Met Éireann has said the next few days will be 'normal winter weather', with no severe weather expected.

Met Éireann has said the next few days will be 'normal winter weather', with no severe weather expected.

But the ESB has advised the Government's National Coordination Group that around 13,000 households are still without power and may remain so for the next couple of days.

People are asked to be extra vigilant and to check on elderly and vulnerable neighbours in areas which are still without power.
