A man is due to appear in Drogheda District Court today charged in connection with the robbery of a restaurant on Saturday.
The incident took place at the restaurant on Dyer Street in Drogheda when the man entered at approximately 8pm, threatening staff before grabbing the till.

The man fled the scene and according to gardaí no weapon was produced during the course of the robbery.
Local gardaí on patrol in the area saw a man matching the description of the suspect running. Gardaí stopped the man in his 30s and found him to be in possession of a large sum of cash.
He was arrested and taken to Drogheda Garda Station where he was later charged with the robbery.
