A 37-year-old man arrested by police in Northern Ireland, in relation to a video which appears to show a child driving a lorry on a motorway, has been released from custody.

The clip, which was uploaded to Snapchat, is understood to have been filmed on the M1 near Dungannon in County Tyrone.

It shows a young boy in the driver’s seat of a lorry cab, apparently steering the vehicle as it drives along the motorway.

A male is audible in the background talking to the child.

The PSNI has said that it arrested a man in the Cookstown area earlier today and he has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Earlier today the PSNI confirmed that it was making inquiries into the incident.

A spokesman said: “We have received a report and are aware of footage which has been shared on social media and are making inquiries.”
