Gardaí from the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) have seized €300,000 worth of cannabis and arrested a man in his late 20s during an operation in South East Dublin.
During a planned search of a residence in the Dundrum area, cannabis herb worth approximately €300,000, divided into vacuum-sealed packages, was discovered and seized along with €2,000 in cash.
The man in his late 20s was arrested in connection with the seizure.
He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda station in the Dublin Region.
Speaking following the seizure, Assistant Commissioner Paul Cleary, DMR, said: "This large seizure of illicit drugs is a further example of the ongoing efforts of An Garda Síochána to target and arrest those in our communities who are involved in criminal activity."
Investigations are ongoing.
