A total of 392 admitted patients are waiting for hospital beds this morning, according to today’s Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) Trolley Watch.

This includes 293 patients waiting in emergency departments, while 99 are in wards elsewhere in hospitals.

The most overcrowded hospital is University Hospital Limerick, where there are 45 patients waiting for beds.

This is followed by Cork University Hospital (43 patients), Sligo University Hospital (38 patients), Letterkenny University Hospital (33 patients), and St Vincent's University Hospital (29 patients).

The most patients waiting for beds in emergency departments are Cork University Hospital (40 patients), St Vincent's University Hospital (29 patients), Tallaght University Hospital and University Hospital Limerick (both 26 patients), and
