In recent days, gardaí have carried out a search of Santry Demense with the help of an underwater unit and a search dog.

A full examination of the site will be carried out after the dog alerted gardaí to a particular area.

The area has been sealed off to allow gardaí to carry out a full examination.

In a statement, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: “Operational searches remain ongoing, no further information is available at this time.”
