Gardaí are investigating an assault on a man on Synge Street in Dublin last night.
The man in his 40s was assaulted shortly after 9pm and was taken to St James's Hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the gardaí.
