Court told Quinn Jnr doesn't have means to pay $500k to purge contempt

The High Court has been told that Sean Quinn Jnr does not have the means to pay up $500,000 (€390,000) in order to purge his contempt.

Lawyers for IBRC and the son of the jailed businessman have asked the court for more time to correspond on how to address the fallout of the contempt finding.

Speaking on Sean Quinn Jnr's behalf, his brother in law, solicitor Niall McPartland, said he needed the bank to say exactly where they were falling short in relation to the disclosure of assets.

Sean Quinn Jnr was found in contempt of court for facilitating a $500,000 payment to a former director of the Quinn's operations in the Ukraine.

The case has been put back for two weeks.
