Cigarettes and rolling tobacco worth over €160,000 have been seized at Dublin Port.

€115,000 worth of cigarettes branded Benson and Hedges Gold, along with almost €48,000 of tobacco labelled Amber Leaf were discovered by revenue officers.

The consignment had arrived from Cyprus via the Netherlands.

The seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the sale and supply of illegal cigarettes and tobacco in the shadow economy.
