Astronomy Ireland has set up powerful telescopes around the country to help star gazers catch a glimpse of Saturn and its rings tonight.

Astronomy Ireland has set up powerful telescopes around the country to help star gazers catch a glimpse of Saturn and its rings tonight.

The planet, which is the second largest in our solar system, will be visible to the left of the moon all weekend.

Chairman of Astronomy Ireland David Moore said the telescopes are set up in counties Clare, Cork, Dublin, Kerry, Kildare, Louth and Sligo.
