Norn Iron golf superstar Rory McIlroy is king of the world right now after three consecutive victories (in the Open Championship, the Bridgestone Invitational and the US PGA) and with the crown comes the glory.
McIlroy appeared on US TV last night as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon - along with Tiger Woods, from whom he has wrested the title of golf's golden boy.
The Tonight Show is one of US network television's biggest deals, having been running since 1954, so McIlroy appearing is confirmation (if any were needed) of his elevation to global status and his appeal to the non-golf crowd.
Anyway.
Rory, Jimmy and Tiger played a game of 'Facebreakers', taking turns to chip balls at glass panels painted with their faces, with Tiger coaching Jimmy against the 2014 PGA Champion.
It's fun, trust us. And Rory's accuracy is actually pretty impressive. It starts off slow but then they get into the SWING of it (geddit? Geddit? Sorry).
A relaxed Rory enjoying himself in front of an audience of millions on one of US TV's biggest light entertainment shows? Welcome to the big time, kid.
Poor old Tiger - who pulled out of the Ryder Cup last week amid persistent back problems and took a back seat during last night's skit - must feel like yesterday's man.
