The €7 million store will measure 1,315sqm and is expected to open in late 2025.

Its 110-space car park will also include six electric vehicle charging points.

The store will also be 100 per cent powered by green electricity, with 90sqm of solar panels on its roof.

The supermarket chain added the investment will provide "even further opportunities for local food and drink suppliers to work with Aldi", noting the company currently works with six food and drink producers in Limerick.
