World's tallest water slide's opening delayed after test dummies 'go airborne'

The opening of the world's tallest water slide has been postponed by two weeks, because of problems during testing.

It is claimed dummies went airborne on the 168-foot high attraction in Kansas City.

The park, called Schlitterbahn, has only said that it delayed the opening of the slide to make sure everything is perfect and that some adjustments were needed.

The Verruckt (German for 'insane') slide features an almost-vertical drop, taller than the Niagara Falls, and promises speeds of 65 miles per hour.

When the slide opens, riders will spend seven minutes climbing the 264 steps to the starting point, where they will climb into four-person raft which will plunge the equivalent of seven stories.
