A strong earthquake has struck eastern Russia.
The earthquake hit 106 kilometers north of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, the capital city of Russia’s Kamchatka Krai.
The depth of the earthquake was reported at 153 kilometers.
It measured 7.0 magnitude - but experts say there is no risk of a tsunami.
There are no initial reports of damage or casualties.
The area has been hit by a number of aftershocks measuring between 2.0 and 5.2 on the Richter scale.
