Workers who operate security scanners at Stansted Airport are to take fresh strike action in a row over pay.
Members of the GMB union employed by Mitie will walk out from 3.45am on Saturday October 10 until 1.45pm on Sunday.
The workers have taken previous days of strike action after rejecting a 1.5% pay offer.
Speaking on the row in a statement Gary Pearce, GMB Organiser, said: “When we met at ACAS the company claimed they could not afford a pay rise of 3%. GMB members simply do not accept this.
“GMB members involved in the dispute remain determined to get a pay rise irrespective of how long it takes Mitie to sort this out.”
