Report: Iraq's parties reach power-sharing agreement

It has been reported Iraq's political rivals have reached a breakthrough power-sharing deal in which Nouri al Maliki stays on as Prime Minister.

It is exactly eight months since elections ended in deadlock with none of the main parties winning enough seats for a majority.

The AFP news agency has claimed a formal ceremony will be held in the northern city of Arbil tomorrow to announce the agreement.
