Oscar Pistorius has reportedly reached a settlement over an alleged assault case in 2009 when he was arrested and accused of causing an injury to a guest at a party at his house by slamming a door.
Pistorius’s lawyers reached an agreement with Cassidy Taylor-Memmory after she accused him of assault in the incident nearly five years ago, according to Eyewitness News in South Africa.
She was reportedly hurt when the door broke.
Pistorius launched a counter claim against Ms Taylor-Memmory, accusing her of making up the assault. He said he was arrested without reason.
The South African Paralympian’s lawyers are also in negotiations with the family of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, over an out-of-court settlement ahead of his trial for her murder.
