The closest neighbour to Oscar Pistorius has told his murder trial he introduced Reeva Steenkamp to him as his fiancee.
Michael Nhlengethwa told the High Court in Pretoria that he heard a man crying loudly and that he called the security of the housing estate for help.
He has also described the call he made to security after hearing screaming coming from the paralympian's house.
Mr Nhlengethwa says the Paralympian also told him he was planning to move to Johannesburg to be closer to her:
He was giving evidence on behalf of the Olympian’s defence team, which contends that Pistorius killed Ms Steenkamp by mistake after believing there was an intruder in his home on February 14 last year.
The prosecution says Pistorius intentionally killed Ms Steenkamp after the couple had an argument.
The disabled runner fire four shots through a toilet cubicle door with his 9mm pistol, hitting Ms Steenkamp in the hip, arm and head.
