Iraq: 14 killed in three bombings

Fourteen people have died in three separate bombings in the Iraqi capital.

Fourteen people have died in three separate bombings in the Iraqi capital.

Eight people were killed in a car bomb that targeted army recruits at a taxi and bus station in the Allawi area. At least 12 people were injured in that attack.

Elsewhere, five people were killed in another car bombing in the Kadhimiyah area, and a roadside bomb in the Mansur area killed one.

Violence has re-erupted recently in Iraq, with more than 420 killed in fighting and attacks so far this month.
