Investigators '90% sure' bomb explosion heard on black box

It is reported investigators looking into a Russian plane crash in Egypt are "90% sure" a noise heard on one of its black box recorders was an explosion caused by a bomb.

224 passengers were killed in the disaster last week.

The Russian government has said it has brought home 11,000 of its citizens from Egypt in the last 24 hours but many tourists from Britain are still stuck there amid flight restrictions and tightened security.

Reporter Alex Rossi in Sharm el-Sheikh has more on the investigation

“What they will have done is spectral analysis at the waveform, they will have compared that with other frequencies, other sounds,” Mr Rossi said.

“And it will be fairly definite I am told that they will reach the conclusion that it was a bomb.”
