IMF: No decision made on Strauss-Kahn
The IMF board has said no decision has been made on the future of its chief, Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
The 62-year-old, who had been seen as a front-runner in next year's French presidential election, remains in custody in New York, charged with sexual assault.
Yesterday, a judge refused him bail of $1m and sent him to Rikers Island prison.
Gerard Carreyrou, of France Soir newspaper, said the scandal could even affect the future of the euro, of which Mr Strauss-Kahn is a strong supporter.
Mr Carreyrou said: "There's going to be an attack next year probably because it is election time and DSK was a very strong pawn in the game to protect the euro."
