GOAL to mark five years of Syrian unrest as talks begin in Geneva

Talks on the Syrian crisis begin in Geneva today, as the country marks five years of unrest.

An estimated 250,000 people have lost their lives and millions of people have been displaced.

The aid agency GOAL will place an artwork rocket structure Dublin city centre today to highlight the ongoing suffering of innocent civilians in Syria.

David Williams of GOAL says nothing has really changed.

He said: "Fighting is still continuing and the rockets are still being sent down on civilian areas.

"They are bombing hospitals, they are bombing schools and marketplaces. They are killing innocent people so nothing really has changed."
