EU issues war crimes court ultimatum to Serbia

The European Union will suspend entry negotiations with Serbia if it does not fully cooperate with the UN war crimes tribunal, the EU’S enlargement commissioner said today.

The European Union will suspend entry negotiations with Serbia if it does not fully cooperate with the UN war crimes tribunal, the EU’S enlargement commissioner said today.

“It is important Serbia’s efforts lead to full co-operation without delay,” Olli Rehn told a committee of the European Parliament in Brussels.

“It should lead to the arrest and transfer of (Gen. Ratko) Mladic.”
