Court refuses to postpone Berlusconi sex trial

An Italian court has today rejected a bid to postpone the trial of the Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi on sex charges.

An Italian court has today rejected a bid to postpone the trial of the Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi on sex charges.

Lawyers for Berlusconi had argued that the case should be halted until next year, when Italy's top court will rule on which judges have jurisdiction.

Mr Burlisconi has denied paying an underage prostitute for sex.
