A man suspected to be an attacker has died in an explosion in Ansbach in southern Germany which injured 10 other people.

The blast was near the entrance to a open-air music festival in the Bavarian city, which had some 2,500 people in attendance and was shut down as a precaution.

Germany is on edge after a deadly rampage at a Munich mall on Friday in which nine people were killed and an axe attack on a train near Wuerzburg last Monday in which five people were wounded.
