The end is officially nigh.
Glenswilly played St. Eunan's in a Donegal county football league game today and the match ended on a scoreline of 03-02.
Yep, three points to two. Pity the supporters who gave up a Sunday afternoon to watch a gaelic football game and saw a grand total of five points scored in the whole game.
Rather bizarre Donegal All-County football league Division 1 fixture ends @GaaGlenswilly 0-3 @StEunansGAA 0-2 #gaa

Local journalist Alan Foley was at the game and put the scoreline down to poor aim rather than the dreaded blanket defence - between the two teams there were 27 wides in the game.
Winners Glenswilly notched all three of their points in the first half and there was only one point scored in the second half - a free for St. Eunan's.
Football fans have not taken news of the scoreline well.
Definitely not. Not as bad as that Glenswilly St Eunans score though. That really is Armageddon...apparently!!!

Glenswilly went 3-0 up in first half today, didn't score again & end up winning! 1 point in the whole second half. This really happened #gaa

Glenswilly beat St. Eunans 0-03 to 0-02 today in the league today. Surely not long until we get a 1-0 #donegal #gaa

This. I think modern football has great potential, but it will never be realised with the current rules #GAA pic.twitter.com/6jPZ7JPjRs

No comment yet from Joe Brolly, but we fully expect to hear from him before too long.
