Pardew press conference interrupted by bizarre Ebola warnings

Nothing could spoil Alan Pardew’s good mood last night - not even dire warnings about the dangers of Ebola.

The Newcastle manager was taking part in a post-match press conference after watching his side knock holders Manchester City out of the Capital One Cup.

But midway through answering questions he was interrupted by a Man City stadium announcer broadcasting a bizarre message about the dangers of Ebola.

It is a measure of Pardew’s happiness levels that he stayed smiling even when the announcer was warning listeners not to “touch or wash the corpse of” Ebola victims.

The press conference resumed when the ominous message finished.
