Après Match borrow Graham Norton’s chair in best skit so far

A cast of well known Irish characters including Des Cahill, Joe Duffy, Pat Spillane and others are called in to audition for Bill’s spot.

Après Match borrow Graham Norton’s chair in best skit so far

Après Match was excellent last night as the lads brought in a host of Irish stars to try out in the presenter’s chair.

With legendry host Bill O'Herlihy retiring after Sunday's World Cup final Eamon and Liam take it upon themselves to grill new prospective hosts.

Des Cahill seemed only to confuse the panel while George Hook dismissed Dunphy and Brady as: “a pair of soccer guttersnipes”.

Joe Duffy, Mary O'Rourke and Pat Spillane are also tried out, but were all sent flying from the audition chair.

Eventually it is decided there was only one man for the job - Darragh Moloney.

He just had to release his inner ‘Dunphy’ first.

Fans of the Après Match team will be pleased to hear they are presenting the entire 3rd place play-off match between Brazil and the Netherlands on Saturday.
