O’Leary spent the first seven years of his career at Munster before moving to London Irish in 2012.

The scrum-half had 127 caps for Munster and also 24 caps for Ireland between 2007 and 2012. He was also named in the 2009 British and Irish Lions squad, but was ruled out with an ankle injury.

The province announced that Andrew Conway, Dave O'Callaghan, Johnny Holland and Eusebio Guinazu have all signed fresh deals, while Academy player Darren Sweetnam also signed a Munster contract.
