Ireland full back Rob Kearney says he is itching to get going against France in tomorrow's crucial World Cup Pool D decider in Cardiff tomorrow.
The Leinster man was left out for Ireland's last two games with Simon Zebo capably filling in for him on both occasions, but Kearney said the Irish management played it safe with his recovery.
He said: “I probably would have been ready to go last week but they thought I would be better off not risking it.
“So I'm 100% ready to go and looking forward to a monster occasion."
He went on to explain that he is used to competition for places with Ireland and Leinster, and told the media that their performance will rise with the higher stakes.
