Fight fans watched the Dubliner give a gracious post-match interview, crediting Nate Diaz for the win but vowing to come back stronger himself.
But fellow UFC fighters were too busy getting digs in to even listen to him.
Jose Aldo said on Twitter: "Your fairy tale is over. You got nowhere to run now. Time to a rematch, pussy".
Hmmm, maybe someone should remind him that Conor is still the UFC champion in Aldo's weight class.

Brazilian mixed martial artist Renzo Gracie also took the chance to have a go at McGregor, as did his original opponent for this night, Rafael Dos Anjos.

Even UFC boss Dana White came in for criticism, because of his perceived favouritism towards the Crumlin star.
Fellow fighters may enjoy rubbing his nose in defeat, but we fully expect Conor to use the barbs as fuel for his comeback.
