Under-fire US swimmer Ryan Lochte has attempted to draw a line under his antics at the Rio Olympics by confirming he will be one of the contestants on US reality show Dancing With The Stars.
Lochte, appearing on ABC's Good Morning America show, refused to say whether he will return to Brazil to face a charge of filing a false police report over a filling station encounter during the Olympics.
He told the show his legal team is dealing with the situation, adding: "We're just trying to get this over with."
Lochte admits he lied about having a gun held to his head at a Rio de Janeiro garage, where he and three other US swimmers had stopped to use a toilet.
Lochte said he has offered to reimburse fellow swimmer James Feigen for a near $11,000 fine Feigen paid to resolve legal issues and leave Brazil.
