Mayo select unchanged side for Donegal quarter-final

No surprises from the Mayo team announcement tonight, as joint-managers Pat Holmes and Noel Connelly keep the faith with the same 15 that hammered Sligo by 26 points.

The Connacht champions scored 4-17 the last time they faced Donegal in Championship fare, at the quarter-final stage two years ago.

And with Cillian O’Connor – who scored 3-4 that day – and Aidan O’Shea – who scored 3-4 in the Connacht final – named in the forwards, they will maintain a major goal threat on Saturday evening in Croke Park (throw-in at 6pm).

Donegal will be optimistic that their star players will be available for the clash, with Rory Gallagher revealing
