Jim McGuinness and JJ Delaney to join Sky GAA line-up

Sky Sports have announced two household names as the latest additions to their GAA punditry team - former Donegal manager Jim McGuinness and ex-Kilkenny hurler JJ Delaney.

McGuinness guided the Donegal footballers to an All-Ireland title in 2012, as well as winning three Ulster titles in his four year tenure with the senior panel.

The team were beaten All-Ireland finalists in 2014 and in October McGuinness resigned his position. He continues to work as a coach for Celtic FC, having been involved with the Scottish club since 2012.

“I’ve had the great honour of being involved in inter-county football both as a player and a manager over a long number of years and I’m looking forward to sharing some of my experiences and insights with the Sky Sports viewers,” McGuinness told Skysports.com

“I really enjoy the way Sky Sports approach their coverage and analysis of matches and I am delighted to be joining the team for the 2015 Championship.”

JJ Delaney retired from inter-county hurling in December 2014, having won nine All-Irelands in a 13 year career with the Kilkenny senior hurling team.

In addition the full-back won six All-Stars and was named Hurler of the Year in 2003.

“The Hurling Championship has been a huge part of my life for the last 15 years,” Delaney said of his new role.

“Having retired from the Kilkenny team I’m really looking forward to being involved in a different capacity as part of the Sky Sports team.”
