Daly becomes Ireland's first female UFC winner

Aisling Daly became the first Irish female to win a UFC bout last night.

The 26-year-old beat Alex Chambers at the finale of TUF 20 in Las Vegas.

She looked for the submission early on and got it after using an armbar to force Chambers to tap out.

Her win drew praise from Irish MMA star Conor McGregor, who said he was '"so proud" of the Dublin native.

"Put Conor as the main event in Dublin, me as the co-main event and bill it as the King and Queen of Irish MMA," she said later.
