All-Ireland winning manager Joe Kernan to take charge of International Rules team

The GAA has confirmed today that Joe Kernan is the new Irish international Rules manager.

He will take charge of the Irish team when they face Australia in November for the 2015 series for the first part of his two-year appointment.

Australia will come to Croke Park as holders of the Cormac McAnallen Cup, after winning the one-match battle in Perth last year.

Kernan won the All-Ireland with Armagh in 2002 and has also guided Crossmaglen to club All-Ireland success.

He is joined by an impressive backroom team of Pádraic Joyce, Darragh Ó Sé and Dermot Earley.
