The Irish Open takes place in Down this weekend, and the young patients in Temple Street Children’s Hospital put together a video of good wishes - and some advice - for the Irish golfers taking part.
Titled “A message from our little champions to some big ones” - they wish Rory, G-Mac and the rest of the Irish contingent the best of luck for the weekend.
The gorgeous children, boys and girls aged from toddlers up to teens, also have words of wisdom for their sporting heroes.
The golfers are advised to be brave, stay focused, don’t be nervous - and try to get the ball in the hole of course!
One young lad is on hand to make sure World number one McIlroy doesn’t get too big for his boots: “I heard you’re a bit of a golfer, but not as good as my Grandad.”
The video was released by The Temple Street Foundation - which was established in 2000 and exists to raise funds to make Temple Street Children’s Hospital a better place.
Every year Temple Street relies on the generosity of donors to help raise €5m to redevelop hospital wards, fund vital equipment and services and invest in research. Having access to state of the state of the art facilities and equipment literally saves lives.
