Lawyers for both sides in Rory McIlroy’s legal case against his former sports management company have for a second time asked for the case to be deferred.
The golfer is suing Conor Ridge’s Horizon Sports Management over the cut their firm was taking from his on and off course earnings.
The row over around €5.6m in fees was due to resume in the High Court at 2pm.
Following three hours of talks, Paul Gallagher, senior counsel for McIlroy, told the High Court that both sides were seeking a further two hour adjournment for discussions.
“The parties are making progress,” he said.
Judge Cregan agreed to put the case back until 4pm.
