O'Connor to boost Cork's chances

Cork will be boosted by the return of experienced middle-third operator Alan O'Connor following Sunday's Allianz NFL Division 1 final against Dublin, it emerged tonight.
O'Connor opted out of the senior inter-county limelight prior to the start of the 2014 campaign but will offer experience in abundance to Brian Cuthbert's side with the championship looming.
O'Connor was an integral member of the Cork side that won the All-Ireland title in 2010 and Cuthbert will be delighted to have him back on board after a lengthy spell away from the grade.
O'Connor will bolster Cork's options around midfield in the Munster SFC and beyond, an area in which the Rebels are short numbers-wise.
