New Tipperary senior hurling manager Michael Ryan will be joined by Lorrha Dorrha’s John Madden on the sidelines in 2016.
At a Tipperary County Board meeting last night it was confirmed Madden will work alongside both Ryan and Declan Fanning.
Best of luck to John Madden who has been appointed as a selector with the Tipperary senior hurling team for 2016

Killenaule’s Fanning, of course, was already involved with Eamon O’Shea’s managerial unit this year and will continue on in 2016 as coach of the team.
Madden, though, is a fresh appointment.
He managed Silvermines in the Tipperary SHC this year and has also worked in the past with New York.
The two-time All-Ireland SHC winner soldiered alongside Ryan in the county side of 1991, in what was one of his two successes in the competition as a player.
Madden will now hope to utilise his experiences to enhance Tipperary’s chances of landing the Liam McCarthy Cup next season.
However, with Kilkenny again, and Clare also expected to be in the mix for the ultimate reward, Ryan, Fanning and Madden will appreciate how difficult their goal will be to achieve.
Eamon O’Shea, too, was highly praised by chairman Michael Bourke and by past chairmen such as Seán Nugent and John Costigan for his significant contributions to the Premier County’s hurling cause.
Elsewhere, Glen Rovers’ defender Stephen McDonnell will captain Kieran Kingston’s Cork outfit replacing Anthony Nash in the role.
And there will be a positive reaction to such an appointment with McDonnell a popular player among the panel and supporters on Leeside.
