Sheehan first went to Carlton in 2009 but the then 18-year-old struggled to settle. He returned to Ireland soon after and earned a place in the Cork senior football panel for the following season.
Congratulations to @OfficialCorkGAA player @Gussyman90 who will be making his @AFL debut with @CarltonFC this weekend.

After excelling for Ireland in last year’s International Rules Series he was again offered the opportunity to play in Australia and has impressed in his time there so far.
He has been playing for the VFL side Northern Blues and their coach Luke Webster praised the Irish player on the Carlton FC website.
“Ciaran is the one, out of all our first year guys, who has played the most amount of footy,” said Webster.
“He started the year learning to play as a forward, and then swung around and learned to play as a backman, and he has adapted to that really well.”
"One of his biggest assets is his speed – and he’s defending the ball really well and also makes good decisions once he gets his hands on the footy.”
Carlton’s coach Mick Malthouse announced the team earlier today and also spoke about Sheehan.
"I think it's a fantastic story. He actually came over with Zach Tuohy (in 2009) and went back (to Ireland) and has come back again and I think that that's meritorious," Malthouse said.
Best wishes for his debut have been pouring in for the player, who won the All-Ireland Football Championship with Cork in 2010.
