Brian Cody has named twelve of his All Ireland-winning side for Kilkenny's Division 1A Allianz Hurling League opener with Waterford on Sunday.

The manager's son, Diarmuid, starts at left-wing back, with Cillian Buckley replacing the injured Michael Fennelly in midfield.

With Ger Aylward out for the season with a cruciate injury, Jonjo Farrell lines out at corner forward.

In the other corner, Mark Kelly replaces Eoin Larkin.

The Kilkenny team to play Waterford on Sunday is as follows:
