All-Ireland winning midfielder Nicholas Murphy is one of three All-Ireland winners who will join County Board Chairman Ger Lane and Secretary Frank Murphy in overseeing the appointment of the new Cork Senior Football manager.
The five-man panel also features 1973 Celtic cross winner John Coleman and two-time All-Ireland champion John O’Driscoll.
John O’Leary, Peter Creedon and Ephie Fitzgerald have all been linked to the role, with Brian Cuthbert’s successor likely to come from within the county.
Tonight’s Cork County Board meeting contained some robust discussion about the state of the county in light of early exits from both the Hurling and Football Championships:
